How can I password protect the iDry app?
Sorry, there is no password protection feature built into iDry at this time. And unfortunately you cannot buy a 3rd party app that would password protect another app or a folder, because Apple does not permit that. So there are a few workarounds you can try. You can always just lock your iPhone using Apple's built in locking mechanism. Or, if you are technically savvy you can jailbreak your iPhone and then use a program like Cydia to protect individual apps. Or you can simply camouflage iDry by putting it in a folder with a boring name like "Travel" or "Business". Or, if you are ok with people seeing iDry but you don't want them to know what specific interventions you are using, you can create your own interventions in iDry (you'll need to upgrade iDry to Premium to do this) and give them misleading names.
Need to correct a log entry- how to do it?
You can't modify a log entry, but you can delete it and then enter it correctly. Here's how. (1) Tap "Chart". (2) Swipe all the way to the left, till you get to the "Log Entries" screen. (3) Tap "Edit" in the upper right corner. (4) Tap the circle that's next to the entry that you want to delete. (5) Tap the red "Delete" button in lower left. (6) Then go back to the "Log" page and re-enter the info correctly.
The wetness measurement slider in the Log screen only gives me 8 different settings. I want to have more fine-grained control over specifying the wetness in my pad. How can I do this?
No problem! Version 1.4, released in mid-January 2013, gives you the ability to change the wetness slider so it has 100 different positions instead of the regular 8. Just go to Settings, then Display, and set Make Slider Gradual to "YES".
I just started up iDry on my iPad, and it's showing up very small on the screen. How do i fix this?
Easy! In the bottom right corner of your iPad screen, there's a little button labeled "2x". Tap it once, and you'll enlarge iDry (or any other iPhone app) to full screen. Tap it again to shrink down.
I want to start over due to learning how to use the program. How can I delete all my data and start over?
There are two ways to erase everything and start over. METHOD #1: If you have the Premium version: tap Chart, then swipe to the left until you get to the Log Entries page. Tap Edit. You can now select and delete any of your log entries. METHOD #2: Uninstall the program then re-install it. To uninstall iDry: go to your iPhone home page, hold down the iDry icon till it wiggles, then touch the “x” in the corner. That will also wipe out your data.
I can't find my pad listed in the Pad List.
There are hundreds of pad and diapers on the market. We included as many as we could. If you don't find your pad, there are a couple of things you can do. METHOD #1: If you have the Premium version: add your own pad. Go to the pad list and click “Add”, then enter the name and the estimated capacity. METHOD #2: Use one of the generic pads listed at the beginning of the pad list.
If you are a pad manufacturer and you want to see your pads listed in iDry, email us and we can do it. No charge!
Could you make a version more directed for kids and teens who are just bedwetters. The other apps out there do not track stuff as well as your app.
You can use the standard iDry app for bedwetting, or for any other situation where you want to keep track of "episodes" instead of total urine volume. First, upgrade to the Premium version for $5 USD, so you can unlock the ability to create a new pad. Then, on the Log page, touch the Pad Type area to bring up the list of pads. Touch "+" to create a new pad called "Wet Bed" or whatever you want to call it. Give it a small capacity, say 100 ml. Now you're ready to go. Anytime there is a bedwetting episode, use the Log page and treat it as if you are changing the "Wet Bed" pad. Use the slider to specify how serious the episode was (ie, amount of urine lost). You can use all the reporting and analysis tools, they'll work just fine for this.
Are there any plans for an Android version of this app?
Sorry, we don't have any plans for an Android version right now.
Hi I'm writing from Attends healthcare, I read that if we wanted our prouducts added that this would be free of charge, if this is so I would be very interested.
Yes, we would be happy to add your company's pads and diapers to our database at no charge. We would need 2 samples of each of your products for testing purposes. Please email us at info@idry.org so we can give you shipping instructions. Thanks!
